Welcome to the IPDLAF+ Class
IPDLAF+ is a class of the Illinois Portfolio, a series of the Illinois Trust (the “Trust”). The Illinois Portfolio is a diversified, open-end, actively managed investment trust designed to address the short-term cash investment needs of Illinois public Investors, including park districts, forest preserve districts, conservation districts, joint recreational programs and other public agencies.
Investments designed for Illinois' park entities
The Trust, through its various services, provides Investors an opportunity to maximize their income potential while maintaining safety, liquidity and yield as their primary investment objectives. Currently, the Trust offers Investors the following investment options:
- Illinois Portfolio*. This investment stresses “safety of principal” as its #1 objective – a fact underscored by its AAAm** rating from Standard & Poor’s.
- Illinois TERM. This fixed rate investment offers terms from 60 days to one year and is designed to match the cash flow requirements of Investors with the cash flows from the portfolio, and has a AAAf*** rating from Fitch.
Investors also have access to a range of additional products authorized by the Board of Trustees and administered by PFM Asset Management LLC (“PFMAM” or the “Investment Adviser”), the Investment Adviser of the Trust.
Distinctive structure, specialized focus
The Trust’s structure differs from its competitors, enabling it to offer services exclusively to Illinois park entities and public agencies. These attributes set the Trust apart:
- The Trust is owned and operated by its Investors, ensuring that the Trust remains focused on the particular needs of Illinois municipal investors.
- Investors elect members of the Board of Trustees – members who are responsible for overall management of the Trust, including formulation and implementation of investment and operating policies and selection of various professional organizations to provide services to the Trust.

*The Illinois Portfolio offers two classes: the IIIT Class and the IPDLAF+ Class. The IPDLAF+ Class is offered only to park districts, forest preserve districts, conservation districts and joint recreational programs and shares of the IIIT Class are not available for purchase by these entities.
The Illinois Institutional Investors Trust and the Illinois Park District Liquid Asset Fund Plus (collectively the “Funds”) entered into a Plan of Reorganization (the “Reorganization”) to merge the assets of the Funds into one common law trust. As a result of this Reorganization, the Board of Trustees of the Illinois Institutional Investors Trust established two classes of shares for the existing IIIT Portfolio, namely, the IIIT Class and the IPDLAF+ Class. Effective February 27, 2012, the Illinois Institutional Investors Trust was renamed the Illinois Trust and then the Illinois Park District Liquid Asset Fund Plus was dissolved and its outstanding shares were assumed by the Illinois Portfolio, IPDLAF+ Class. The IPDLAF+ Class is offered only to park districts, forest preserve districts, conservation districts and joint recreational programs and shares of the IIIT Class are not available for purchase by these entities.
**Standard & Poor’s fund ratings are based on analysis of credit quality, market price exposure and management. According to Standard & Poor’s rating criteria, the AAAm rating signifies excellent safety of invested principal and a superior capacity to maintain a $1.00 per share net asset value and the AAAf rating signifies that a portfolio's holdings provide extremely strong protection against losses from credit defaults. However, it should be understood that these ratings are not “market” ratings or a recommendation to buy, hold or sell the securities. For a full description on rating methodology, visit Standard & Poor’s website (http://www.standardandpoors.com/en_US/web/guest/home).
***The AAAf rating reflects Fitch Ratings ("Fitch") review of the Term program's investment and credit guidelines, the portfolio's credit quality and diversification, as well as the capabilities of PFM Asset Management LLC as investment adviser. It indicates the highest underlying credit quality (or lowest vulnerability to default). However, it should be understood that this rating is not a "market" rating nor a recommendation to buy, hold or sell the securities.
